A Short History

The Institute of Financial Services Inc. was established in 1955 as a professional ‘not for profit’ association and provider of professional development opportunities for individuals and organisations in the Building Society Industry.

The IFS is managed by a Council of people from a variety of financial service industry sectors.

Registered Training Organisation

During the 1980's, the IFS expanded its membership base to cater for the whole of the Financial Services Industry and in 1995 became a government accredited Registered Training Organisation, delivering nationally recognised qualifications.

Today, the IFS is a professional training association delivering qualifications from the Financial Services and Business Services Training Packages, from Certificate III to Diploma level.

Located in Sydney, we deliver our training courses and offer consultancy services, including e-Learning, to a variety of financial services organisations Australia-wide.
